No. A boating license, boating permit, or California Boater Card is NOT required to rent or operate our boats. However, ALL guests acting as Charter Captain or Co-Captain must complete the Houseboats.com Boater Safety Test before departure — a mandatory internal safety policy with NO exemptions, even for guests who already hold a California Boater Card or any other boating certification. The test takes approximately 10 minutes. Minimum age for primary operators is 21 years old. Please call us at 1-800-332-3044 with any questions.

Accepted Answer

The Sun Tracker Pontoon is larger, seats 10 (vs 8), and features a bimini top for shade. It's a step up in comfort and capacity for bigger groups. At $438.90/day it's still very affordable for the space you get.

Question 5

Is the Sun Tracker Pontoon easy to drive?

Accepted Answer

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! The Sun Tracker has plenty of deck space for coolers, snacks, and everything you need for a full day on the water. Just pack out what you pack in.
